Ra Diggs Faces Life Sentence After Drug Arrest

Waka Flocka associate and Murda Team rapper Ra Diggs has been arrested in New York City for participation in the what police refer to as the Gowanus Drug Trade. Authorities have targeted the trade, based around a neighborhood in downtown Brooklyn. for years. For more than two years, Ra Diggs, real name Ronald Herron, had been on their radar before his apprehension in Manhattan on October 5. If convicted, the rapper could face life in prison.

The New York Daily News is reporting that authorities had infiltrated the trade shortly after starting their investigation in 2008. Federal officers made hundreds of undercover buys within the Gowanus Houses, a housing project in the neighborhood, and they now claim that Diggs could be implicated in multiple open murder cases that arose as a result of the trade. None of those open murder cases have received charges, though. This arrest, which occurred outside Club Amnesia in Chelsea, is purely drug-related.

Ra Diggs was specifically targeted because of his outspoken public stances on drug dealing and violence. The rapper is a prolific Twitter and YouTube user and often gave authorities just what they needed to stay abreast of his day-to-day activities. He routinely used social media platforms to threaten to kill cops and posted pictures of himself with guns and bulletproof vests.

The timing couldn't be worse for Herron, either. He received the biggest look of his career thus far with a feature on Waka Flocka's 'Flockaveli' album that came out the same day as his arrest.

Good, one less piece o crap drug dealer off of the streets. Should we feel sorry for his momma? Hell no, send her in there too for raising a drug dealing killer.

Use to be in the old days a war hero, a great teacher, An honest politician would have the oportunity to have a ship, spacecraft, building etc named after them. Today it is rappers. The not so nice people with some even sadder messages to our kids become the statue our kids admire, dress and try to look like. People like Tupak, Biggy, Snoop Doog, Little Wayne. Murdered, brought up with gang violence. Make no bones about smoking or snorting dope. Then we wonder why our kids take a wrong turn on their journey. Barrack Obama a perfect example of a hero to look up to and do as he has done get trash talked every day by these sick people who make money off people like Rappers. Big money, Big oil equals broken America. I like one rapper. Eminem. He tells a story. Almost like the old beatniks of the 50s and 60s. He says in his music things our kids need to hear.
