But that's not the only thing that's different about the upcoming concert. Unlike previous years where vocalists graced a concert hall stage, this year's 'VH1 Divas: Salute the Troops' will take place at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, with the network partnering with the USO to bring entertainment to thousands of men and women in the military.
Additionally, pop-rock outfit Paramore will play at an undisclosed military base in the Middle East with the resulting performance airing with footage from the San Diego sets. "I'm also really grateful and proud to be the only rock band on the bill for VH1 Divas: Salute the Troops. Haha, the dudes are divas too!" tweeted Paramore frontwoman Hayley Williams.
'VH1 Divas: Salute the Troops' will air on the cable network on Sunday, December 5 at 9PM EST.
