Beyonce's Mom Shoots Down Pregnancy Rumors

Jay-Z and Beyonce fueled the rumor mill yesterday after gossip sites reported that they were expecting their first child, but mother knows best. Tina Knowles, Bey's mom, paid a visit to 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' to deny the claims that her 29-year-old was pregnant.

"I heard that, but I'm here to clear the rumors up. The truth is it's not Beyonce that's pregnant -- it's me," joked the 56-year-old. "No, it's not true. Not right now. I'm looking forward to it. With all the rumors, by now I should have about five or six grandchildren."

Us Weekly broke the story yesterday, claiming that a source close to the Carters had firsthand info on the pregnancy. "B was shocked. She loves kids, but she wasn't ready to be a mother just yet," said the source. "She really wanted to get her album done and tour the world again."

This isn't the first time that rumors about Beyonce being with child surfaced. In March, Mediatakeout.com alleged that a "solid source" told them that Jay was "extremely happy to be having his first child with Beyonce."
