The series, based on BET's 2008 film 'Nite Tales: The Movie,' is produced under No Brainer Films, founded by Foxx and executive producer Deon Taylor. The show is likened to a cross between 'Tales From the Crypt' and 'The Twilight Zone,' boasting 26 half-hour episodes to be split between two seasons.
Meth joins Tom Arnold and Jason Mewes in different segments of the show, the pilot for which was co-written and co-produced by Foxx and Taylor. "Some of them will be very, very horrified, and others will be more supernatural," Taylor said. "But they're all PG; there won't be any superbloody things happening to people."
No Brainer is currently looking to sell the show to a cable network, allowing them to push the creative envelope and produce edgier material.
