After a very short courtship and even shorter marriage, Dream announced his split from Milian in July, after rumors of his infidelity hit the news circuit. "Terius 'The-Dream' Nash is saddened to announce that his marriage to Christina Milian was unsuccessful," said his rep at the time. "The couple reached this decision in late 2009, but decided to keep the news private in efforts to protect their baby daughter Violet." Not long after the announcement, Dream wrote an open letter to fans on his website, revealing that stress from the break-up drove him to consider suicide, but he remained silent about details behind the marriage's failure.
Milian retorted by challenging Dream's divorce petition, and even blasted her former hubby for being unfaithful. Additionally the 28-year-old disputed Dream's claims that they had been estranged for months prior to the filing, stating that she and the 30-year-old were intimate at the time in which he claims they were not together. Milian also urged the judge to disregard divorce paperwork she signed just prior to giving birth to their daughter, Violet, arguing that she was not in the correct mental state to discern the details of the agreement.
This divorce marks the second for Dream, who ended his marriage to ex-wife Nivea back in 2008, and the first for Milian.
