Since Diddy was previously wooing the unsigned artist to his Bad Boy Records -- appearing on a track called 'Ghost of Christopher Wallace' -- the consensus was that his tweet was squarely aimed at Jay Electronica. Early today Diddy let loose another tweet saying, "Before we start the week off with Rumors. I am not mad at Jay Z! I'm not mad at anyone! Jz was not the friend I was referring 2 Be clear."
So Diddy, whose new album 'Last Train to Paris' is due in stores Dec. 14, is not mad at Jay-Z. But what about the artist he lost out to Hova on signing? Jay Electronica addressed Diddy directly with two tweets: "@iamdiddy you should be more clear than that too brother. betrayal is a serious allegation. real talk" was the first, followed by "@iamdiddy and you know im gonnabe me so i ant gonna be holding my tongue if you gon be out here emotional and wreckless with it." A couple of tweets later the New Orleans born rapper rhetorically added, "#WhateverHappenedTo Congratulations Blackman, i'm happy for you."
Despite being on Twitter all weekend relaying messages about partying in Atlanta and promoting Ciroc, it was only after this that Diddy finally congratulated the rapper on his new recording home. This wasn't the end of the passive aggressive exchange with Jay Elect responding, "@iamdiddy Thank you Blackman. Now Lets GO!!!! #NoBitchassness in 2011. Lets GO!!!."
From here things only get stranger. Diddy announced that he is getting married on Valentine's Day 2011, then said he was kidding. You gotta love Twitter, where rappers and execs argue, break up, make up, and reveal false wedding plans, all in a matter of 140 character missives.
