"So me and @SwaggaBoyLOS bout to do a whole joint together when u download his new Digital Mixtape ('Shooter') u will overstand why," an excited DeVaughn recently wrote on Twitter, breaking the news.
DeVaughn has an extensive history working with rappers. He lent vocals to Ghostface Killah's R&B-heavy 'The Wizard of Poetry,' and has credits on a wide range of tracks from artists such as De La Soul, UGK and Wale. As for how the collaboration came about, it appears that he joined with LOS on his new 'Shooter' mixtape and that created enough magic to seal the deal for a whole full-length concept.
It's probable that a collaborative record will also feature work from rapper Phil Ade -- DeVaughn's recent signee. The singer recently locked down the up-and-coming rapper to a deal with his independent DC-based label entitled 368 Music Group.
