Drake to Host Canada's 40th Annual Juno Awards

Drake will return to his native Toronto on March 27 to host the 40th annual Juno Awards at the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences. The 24-year-old rapper will become the youngest host in the award show's history.

"I am beyond honored to be hosting this monumental Juno Awards in the greatest city on earth," Drake said in a statement. "I want to bring a youthful energy to the show and encourage people to be excited about what Canadian music has to offer." Last April, Drake nabbed his first two Juno Awards for Best New Artist and Rap Recording of the Year, before taking the stage with fellow Canadian pop sensation Justin Bieber to perform.

Before traveling home to prep for his hosting duties next spring, the Young Money rapper will appear at the Grammy Awards in February, with the chance to take home four golden statues. His Grammy nominations include best rap album, best new artist, best solo performance and best rap performance by a duo or group.

Nominees for the Juno Awards will be announced on Feb. 1, and the show will air live on Sunday, March 27.
