Eminem snagged the most nominations for the 53rd annual Grammys, which were announced during an hour-long TV special on CBS Wednesday evening hosted by LL Cool J. The Detroit rapper is trailed by newcomer Bruno Mars, who scored a whopping seven nominations for his first trip to the awards show. Jay-Z, Lady Gaga and country trio Lady Antebellum are close behind with six nominations, while John Legend and B.o.B received five nods each, and Drake, Cee Lo Green and the Roots earned four nominations.

Hip-hop and R&B duets dominated the coveted Song of the Year category. Nominees in the category included B.o.B with Bruno Mars for 'Nothin' on You,' Eminem and Rihanna's 'Love the Way You Lie' and Jay-Z and Alicia Keys' 'Empire State of Mind.' Cee Lo Green's 'Fuck You' and Lady Antebellum's 'Need You Now' rounded out the category.

Eminem and Rihanna's 'Love the Way You Lie' also picked up a nominations in the Best Rap/Sung Collaboration and Best Rap Song categories, where they will face B.o.B & Bruno Mars' 'Nothin' on You' and Jay-Z and Alicia Keys' 'Empire State of Mind' again ... in both categories. Em and Jay-Z, who co-headlined the epic Home and Home ballpark concerts in September, were nominated again in the Best Rap Song Category; Em for his track 'Not Afraid' and Jay-Z for 'On to the Next One' off 'Blueprint 3.'

Em's luck doesn't stop there though. His double platinum effort 'Recovery' also earned him the coveted Album of the Year nomination, which he'll duke out with Arcade Fire ('The Suburbs'), Lady Antebellum ('Need You Now'), Lady Gaga ('The Fame Monster') and Katy Perry ('Teenage Dream'.)

Eminem and Jay square off again in the Best Rap Album Category. Em's 'Recovery' and Jay's 'Blueprint 3' were nominated alongside B.o.B's 'The Adventures Of Bobby Ray,' Drake's 'Thank Me Later,' and The Roots' 'How I Got Over.' Nominees for Best Contemporary R&B Album include Usher for 'Raymond V Raymond,' Chris Brown for 'Graffiti,' R. Kelly for 'Untitled,' Ryan Leslie for 'Transition' and Janelle Monae for 'The Archandroid.' Drake, Justin Bieber, Florence & The Machine, Mumford & Sons and Esperanza Spalding are up for the Best New Artist Grammy.

The 53rd Annual Grammy Awards will be held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Sunday, Feb. 13, 2011 and will broadcast live on CBS at 8PM ET/PT.

Rooting for Em!

And Yay! My girl Janelle Monae has been nominated. Her album features a little bit of everything, and is pure dope. Love her.
