Charles Hamilton Undergoing Psychiatric Evaluation ... Again

Hip-hop is going all types of crazy. Following yesterday's admittance of Gucci Mane to a mental facility, Charles Hamilton is the latest rapper to have a few (more) screws come loose. Following his incarceration last month for a felony assault charge, the locked up spitter's mental state will be assessed by the court's psychiatric facility to determine whether or not he is competent to stand trial.

The troubled MC, who is likely to stay in the facility for several weeks, will receive a court date once his report is filed. Charles was arrested on Dec. 10 in Cleveland, Ohio for assault after disturbing the peace during a bar crawl. When police tried to get him under control, he allegedly struck one of the officers in the face, putting him behind bars on a $25,000 bail.

This isn't the first time that Sonic the Hamilton has been admitted to a mental facility. Last summer, the former Interscope signee checked himself into New York Presbyterian Mental Hospital to find "peace of mind."

"All I wanted to do and still want to do is make music," he explained. "It got to the point where I started talking in rhymes all the time, even in just regular conversations. And music just became me, so I thought it'd be a good idea if I checked into the hospital just to get my mind right."
