Waka Flocka Remains Incarcerated, Lines Up Defense

Waka Flocka Flame headed to the big house on Monday after surrendering to police to deal with the charges stemming from a raid of his home in December. But after being held in prison overnight on $31,950 bond in anticipation of his hearing yesterday, the 'Hard in Da Paint' rapper has allegedly waived the hearing and currently remains incarcerated.

Though no reason was given for why Waka avoided going before the judge, his attorney shared that he hopes to have his client out of the clink by the end of the week to perform a show in Tampa, Fla. He also shed some light on Waka's defense strategy, claiming that since Waka was not at his home at the time of the raid, those who were in his residence should be held responsible.

At the Dec. 16 raid of his Atlanta area home, the cops arrested Gucci Mane, who was in the house at the time, and put out a warrant for Waka on account of possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, the drug hydrocodone, a firearm during the commission of a felony, a firearm by a convicted felon; violation of probation for driving on a suspended license; and violation of Georgia's 'Criminal Street Gang and Terror Prevention Act.' Mane remains incarcerated but is awaiting mental evaluation, after being moved to he prison's mental health facility yesterday.
