It's increasingly hard to avoid Nicki Minaj nowadays. Her next big appearance is coming later this month on the cover of V Magazine -- a highbrow fashion publication. Striking a pose that's both raw and somewhat out of character (no props, no wacky wigs, no crazy facial expressions), Minaj stares right into the lens with a sultry, serious gaze.

Her fans are already going wild for the shoot. After Minaj sent the cover image out on Twitter, she was barraged with positive responses from her army of Barbies. Nicki gets both the magazine cover and its main story in the upcoming issue. The piece is called 'The Birth of a Star' and is rumored to take a now-routine look at how the rapper progressed from Trinidad to high school drama classes to international fame.

Minaj's debut album, 'Pink Friday,' is still standing tall on the Billboard Top 200 chart. 'Pink Friday' has remained in the top 10 since its release in November, which is no small feat for an artist of any stature. Yes, with each new move, Minaj proves that she has arrived and isn't going anywhere.
