Tempah made noise with his award-winning debut album 'Disc-Overy,' which was released with great fanfare in the U.K. on September of 2010. While the album has already hit No. 1 on the charts overseas, it will be released in the United States on May 3 via Capitol Records, with new material he recently recorded in the States.
"Everything has happened pretty quick," he told The BoomBox today. "I've been doing this for a little while, but over the past year I've gone from walking down Oxford and no-one knowing who I am to not being able to walk down Oxford Street within a space of a few months, and that is crazy. But, I love it. I love the fact that I was in a club in New York the other day and they played 'Pass Out' and only a few people walking around were like (makes shifty eyes face). I love that! It's keeps things exciting, it's like you have to start again."
In addition to his performance on Kimmel on Feb. 2, Tempah will be making appearances at several other stateside festivals. He will rock out at Coachella on April 17, and heads to SXSW and Miami's Ultra Music Festival in March.
