The Many Looks of Nicki Minaj

Nicki Minaj owned 2010 and shows no signs of slowing down, but it's not just her lyrics and flow that have made her a success. One thing the femcee will always have over the boys is the ability to visually stimulate our senses. Whether it's her wacky red carpet and performance digs -- and most notably her super curvy figure in those frocks -- or her ever-changing hairdos (aka wigs), Minaj's many looks are always noteworthy.

The rapstress has certainly evolved from her days on the mixtape circuit, back when she rocked an "around the way girl" look -- skin-tight jeans, bustiers and long, jet black hair. Once discovered by Young Money head Lil Wayne in 2008, the diva would get hard to work on her breakout project, 2009's 'Beam Me Up Scotty' mixtape, and eventually step out as a sexy, rap vixen. Channeling Wonder Woman on the 'tape's cover, Minaj's glossed up image would continue to evolve beyond the project.


By 2010, the title of Minaj's debut, 'Pink Friday,' would make perfect sense. The Harajuku Barbie traded in the long black hair for multi-colored wigs, usually pink and blonde, but never predictable. And, while we love the capricious manner in which Minaj changes her look, we're big fans of her alter egos. The femcee has claimed a few other personalities that come out in her rhymes and can be held responsible for tracks like 'Roman's Revenge.' Nicki has described Roman Zolanski as her evil twin who is completely unrestrained and, as a result, will hurt your feelings. Roman's mom, Martha Zolanski, is usually the personality behind the rapper's British accent and is said to make an appearance in the upcoming 'Moment 4 Life' video.

While her fans anxiously wait for a new character and another look, we'll just have to wait and see what Minaj delivers next.

Expressing an opinion is not 'hating'. Not everybody likes her music. They have a right to express their opinion on this page just like you have a right to express yours. So quit with the stop hating nonsense. It's meaningless.

Having to dress like a fruit taco shows that your music isn't strong enough to stand on its own. You have to become an image to make up for a lack of quality musical output.

Hahaha, Jealous of what ? Someone who looks like their auditioning for the black female version of Bozo?If the job is out there, she has got it. Other than that she is a hot nasty mess.She wants to be taken seriously, but she looks like a big joke.
She needs to put on breaks and try to capture HER essense, not everybody elses.
