"We have a live theater show in New York called 'Stuffed and Unstrung,' and we've taken a bunch of the characters from that cast and made them into a band and backup singers for Cee Lo," Henson told MTV. "He'll be backed by puppets who will make up a very weird and cool band."
According to Henson, Cee Lo approached the Henson Company with the concept, which was a no-brainer for the Academy Award-winning CEO. "We had never worked with him before, and he's just a fabulous guy," Henson said. "I think he's a lifelong fan of the puppets, and he had a pretty good idea of what he wanted ... I think it will really be an unforgettable version of the song."
While it is not yet clear which version of the song will be performed, we're fairly certain it will be the radio edit, 'Forget You,' rather than the obscenity-laden original.
The Grammys air live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Sunday, Feb. 13 at 8PM EST.
