Jay-Z 's 'On to the Next One' Wins Grammy for Best Rap Song

Jay-Z kicked the night off for hip-hop grabbing three Grammys before the 2011 award show even began. Hov, who is nominated for six Grammys, picked up the Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for 'Empire State of Mind,' beating out the likes of Bruno Mars, Chris Brown and the Roots in the category. Additionally, Jay's 'On to the Next' snagged a Grammy for Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance By a Duo or Group.

Both tracks appear on Jay's 2009 release 'The Blueprint 3.' The project, debuted atop the Billboard charts selling over 400,000 copies in its first week and features production from Kanye West, Swizz Beatz, and the Neptunes.

The Brooklyn emcee kicked off his pre-Grammy celebration Saturday (Feb. 12), with a private brunch celebrating his Roc Nation label imprint and co-hosted by Italian fashion house, Gucci. The invite-only soiree was held at the Beverly Hills Soho House. Celebrities in attendance including Roc Nation signee, J. Cole, Beyonce, and Will Smith.
