'E.T.' is produced by pop masterminds Dr. Luke and Ammo, yet many don't know that both producers were former remixers for Rawkus Records. The incredible jump from underground hip-hop to a string of seemingly unstoppable international hits is pretty rare, but guest spots from artists like West and Snoop Dogg (on last year's huge 'California Gurls' single) cover enough of a broad musical spectrum to get fans of multiple genres behind the pop star.
Hip-Hop DX reports that West will also appear in the video for 'E.T.,' which is currently being shot and directed by Floria Sigismondi. Sigismondi is the writer and director of 'The Runaways' and has directed unique videos for everyone from Björk and Interpol to Fiona Apple and The White Stripes. Her most well-known clip probably remains Marilyn Manson's creepy 'The Beautiful People.' Here's to hoping for some of that from Perry and Kanye.
