Produced by Madlib, the performance finds Mos going back to the basics, with an old school mic and a jazz infused beat. Word has it the track will act as the first single to the follow-up for his fourth album, 'The Ecstatic,' although Mos has yet to make an official announcement.
Sounding right at home over the Madlib beat Mos delivers a refreshingly enthusiastic flow seemingly plucked right out of his Black Star days. "I don't apologize for none of my advantages, and thank the good lord everyday for having it," he spits. "For more over they make life noble for the truest black star that never been on 'Oprah' / The revolution ain't a TV show, unless, of course, I'm on TV though / Stay tuned tonight at noon we'll see/ Never mind how they got it cuz it's not like me."
After spending the majority of his time in the acting world, Mos released 'The Ecstatic,' in 2009. Despite debuting at No. 9 on the Billboard album charts, garnering the emcee his second highest charting album, and bringing in a Grammy nomination the release peaked at over 71,000 copies sold.
