"Stamp Out Hunger" is the United State's largest one-day food drive, with 2010 contributions totaling 77.1 billion pounds of food. Mariah Carey's hubby will appear in radio and print ads for the upcoming drive in an effort to urge Americans to donate non-perishable food supplies.
"My family turned to food pantries for assistance from time to time when I was growing up, so I know first-hand how important this food drive is," Cannon said in a statement. "With more than 50 million Americans living at risk of hunger, please join me and millions of other generous Americans on Saturday, May 14 by placing a non-perishable food donation next to your mailbox to help the National Association of Letter Carriers Stamp Out Hunger."
The 30-year-old entertainer is expecting twins with his wife Mariah Carey. In early February, the couple confirmed they were having a boy and a girl, with Carey telling Life & Style magazine, "Even before we announced it was twins, I was trying to keep everything gender-neutral because I didn't want to impose an identity on them too soon."
Cannon is currently the host of 92.3 FM's pop radio show, 'Rollin' with Nick Cannon.' Chris Brown appeared on the morning show on Monday (March 21) to promote his new album 'F.A.M.E.'
