"Apart from being pioneers in a new category," Pitbull said in a statement, "Voli Light Vodka is the smoothest and most delicious drink that I've had, and because of that I've decided to partner with them."
In turn, the company, which was founded in 2008, is looking to increase its brand awareness by adding Pitbull to the team.
"We're enchanted to welcome Armando as a member of the Voli family," said Voli CEO Adam Kamenstein. "No other artist contributes more energy, talent and creativity to everything that he does." The brand promises that "Pitbull's love for Voli Light Vodkas is authentic and organic."
According to the company's website, Voli vodka was created to "address the consumers desire to serve delicious cocktails at home without needing expertise in mixology." The low-calorie vodka is sold in five different flavors, including raspberry cocoa fusion, and espresso vanilla fusion. It will be available in major markets nationwide starting this fall.
On the music front, Pitbull's latest single 'Hey Baby (Drop It To the Floor)' featuring T-Pain sits at No. 17 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The song is the lead off his forthcoming sixth studio album, 'Planet Pit.'
