"So #dembabies really wanted 2 celebrate w/us/share the anniversary! I started having contractions last night..went 2 the hospital," she tweeted, referring to her birthday as her anniversary.
After finding out the contractions were a false alarm, Carey returned home to finish celebrating her 42nd "anniversary" with her husband Nick Cannon. "Finally they said I could come home after they got it under control but...They almost came on 3/27- happy anniversary in deed!!! We have a few more weeks 2 go but- wow!!!: ) #soreadyallready!" she also told fans via Twitter.
This will be Mariah and Nick Cannon's first experience with child birth. Carey is expected to have a set of twins, a boy and a girl in April.
With plans to concentrate on her new family and a new CD, Mariah Carey recently turned down an invitation from Simon Cowell to appear on the U.S. version of 'The X-Factor.' Cowell's roster of judges is rumored to include names like Antonio "L.A." Reid, Paula Abdul and Jessica Simpson.
