"We are trilled to partner with Aeropostale in raising awareness and funds for our Peapod Foundation," said group member apl.de.ap. "The foundation works to encourage change for social issues affecting children worldwide. [We] provide tools and mentors encouraging children to express themselves through music and art."
The initial press release announcing the partnership claims that, as part of the deal, Aeropostale has already made a big donation to the foundation set at $100,000. "We have a long history of giving back to those who need it most," said the company's senior VP of marketing and ecommerce. "The Black Eyed Peas, with their innovative music and devotion to kids, are the perfect partners for this campaign."
The shirt is only available for purchase at Aeropostale. With every T-shirt purchased, the buyer also automatically enters a contest to win a trip to meet the Black Eyed Peas at an upcoming concert.
