'Make Some Noise' is a gritty party anthem that picks up on the organic funky beats the Boys have shown on their previous instrumental albums, most notably 2007's 'The Mix-Up.' Lyrics are reminiscent of their '80s party anthem 'Fight for Your Right' off 'Licensed to Ill,' giving listeners a little bit of old school Beastie Boys nonsense with a little bit of new Beastie musicianship.
Another track has also surfaced online, the full-throttle punk jam 'Lee Majors Come Again.' The only other track from 'Hot Sauce Committee, Pt. 2' to be officially released thus far is the album's lead single 'Too Many Rappers.' The song features Nas and was officially let loose by the group in mid-2009, before the trio took an indefinite hiatus later that same month after member Adam Yauch was diagnosed with cancer. The track garnered a Grammy nod for Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group in 2010. A new version of the song dubbed the 'New reactionaries version' is to appear on the May 3 release of the album.
With the release date looming and an obvious hunger for the new Beastie Boys offering, the trio dropped a short trailer for their forthcoming 30-minute movie -- produced by Yauch's indie film house Oscilloscope Laboratories -- behind the album. The two-minute clip features too many A-listers to count: Will Ferrell, Seth Rogen, Danny McBride, Jack Black, John C. Reilly, Jason Schwartzman, Ted Danson, Stanley Tucci and Susan Sarandon among them.
