Fans who purchased the deluxe edition of Cudi's album last year had the chance to see the documentary in full, but until this week, only snippets have been released on the Internet. The 20-minute documentary follows Cudder through the album's creation process and includes backstage snapshots, live concert footage and even an appearance from Kanye West.
After the release of 'Man on the Moon II,' Cudi announced plans to take a break from hip-hop to release a rock album this summer, which he will produce with Dot Da Genius. The Ohio native, who recently quit smoking weed, says that there will no rapping on the new album. However, fans can expect to find him singing and playing guitar.
The G.O.O.D. Music signee is also at work on his film, 'Maniac,' with co-stars Shia LaBoeuf and rapper Cage, which he has revealed very few details about. "The maniac film will b released later this year. Cage, shia and I really want everything just right, and i need the proper time for scoring [sic],' he explained on Twitter. "The edit must be epic."
In addition to his own projects, Cudi has also recorded music for Kanye West and Jay-Z's upcoming joint album 'Watch the Throne.'
His third studio album will be preceded by the summer mixtape, 'A Man Named Scott."
