Stalley and Ross exchanged a series of cryptic back-and-forth tweets Monday night (April 18), hinting at the signing. "@Stalley a motion picture on this side," Rick Ross wrote. "@rickyrozay let's make this movie," Stalley responded. Ross also retweeted all speculation about the new deal from various news outlets before official confirmation was made.
Stalley's most recent mixtape, 'Lincoln Way Nights,' is currently garnering buzz for the Ohio rapper across the web.
Prior to Stalley, Ross' recent additions to Maybach Music have included Atlanta rapper Pill, Philly rapper Meek Mill, D.C. rapper Wale and R&B singer Teedra Moses, who all joined Maybach Music in 2011. All three rappers have previously landed on XXL magazine's annual Freshman Class list, with Wale on the cover in 2009, Pill in 2010 and Meek Mill in 2011.
Rick Ross and his Maybach Music crew will release their 'Self-Made' compilation album on May 24. The full tracklist was revealed earlier this week and additional features include Jadakiss, CyHi da Prynce and Curren$y. Rick Ross is also at work on his fifth studio album, 'God Forgives, I Don't,' which features Drake on the first single 'Made Men.'
