The 30-year-old, who hosts a show on New York City's WXRK 92.3 NOW, gave out the number only to realize that it may have been a bad idea. "My wife is going to kill me over this," he tweeted after the incident. "Sometimes I get a little to [sic] carried away on the radio ... "
Cannon's home was flooded with calls, and one lucky fan even got a chance to speak with Mariah Carey, who answered the phone. In the aftermath of the debacle, Cannon took to Twitter and thanked his wife for being a good sport about the whole thing. "Thanks to my amazing wife for being a good sport and allowing me to make good radio. @MariahCarey you are the best!" he tweeted.
The couple has been married since 2008, and Cannon is known for being open about his relationship while on-air. He recently expressed regret over taking nude photos with Carey for a magazine spread. The lovebirds are currently awaiting the birth of twins, a boy and girl, which are due this month.
