"When you are tweeting, it's not about what label you're on, it''s about you dealing with your fans directly. So whether you have a successful album or a label that supports you or backs you, there is a relationship with the people who make you who you are."
He also revealed that fans are more eager to support an artist's work if they're reading information coming straight from the source. "If I trust you and have a relationship with you, and you are telling me you are putting a record out and it's going to be good I'm going to buy it because I trust you."
Snoop Dogg, whose real name is Calvin Broadus, has over 3 million followers on Twitter and used the website to promote the release of his 11th studio project 'Doggumentary Music,' which was released on April 18. According to Snoop, one of the more popular track's on the album, 'Wet,' was penned as the anthem for England's Prince William. The tune was created for his bachelor party in 2010.
