Most recently, Blacc has been performing overseas, pushing the soulful tunes heard on 'Good Things' to music lovers in Europe. The album's biggest hit, the every man anthem 'I Need a Dollar,' first rose to fame last year as the theme song of the HBO series 'How to Make It in America.' The single still has legs, having recently been prominently featured in a commercial for Boost Mobile.
Blacc (born Egbert Nathaniel Dawkins) initially gained acclaim in hip-hop circles in the mid-2000s as a member of Emanon with producer Exile. The buttery-voiced singer's spring tour kicks off on May 20 in Solana Beach, Calif. and ends June 6 in Chicago, Ill. The complete list of dates are below.
