Weezy sings -- on what could possibly be considered his first ballad -- only accompanied by a strumming acoustic guitar. Within the first 30 seconds of the track it becomes obvious that Weezy has come a long way since his "l-l-lick like a lollipop" days. A really long way.
"When you were just a youngin', your looks were so precious," he croons on 'How to Love,' channeling the female mind. "But now you're grownup, so fly it's like a blessing/ But you can't have a man look at you for five seconds, without you bein' insecure/ You never credit yourself, so when you got older/ Seems like you came back 10 times over/ And now you sittin' here in this damn corner looking through all you thoughts and lookin' over your shoulder.
The song, produced by Detail, is a surprising turn from the previous two upbeat 'Tha Carter IV' singles -- '6 Foot 7 Foot' and 'John,' and may have a little to do with his new love interest. To stream the single head over to KarenCivil.com, where it premiered earlier today (May 26).
