Kelly Rowland's 'Motivation' Scores No. 1 Chart Position

Kelly Rowland is riding stardom solo these days, but it's working in her favor. The former Destiny's Child member has scored a No. 1 Billboard chart position with her sizzling new single, 'Motivation' featuring Lil Wayne.

The songstress' track has climbed to the top of Billboard's R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, as well as landed at No. 21 on the Hot 100 chart. Written by Rico Love and produced by Jim Jonsin, the song has also made its mark on Billboard's charts for Ringtones at No. 4, Radio Songs at No. 18 and Digital Songs at No. 25.

'Motivation' has received a warm reception from fans and critics alike. The song's video -- directed by Sarah Chatfield and choreographed by Frank Gatson -- topped iTunes' Top R&B/Soul Videos chart and even scored more than 14 million views on VEVO.

Rowland, busy prepping for the release of her third solo album, 'Here I Am,' will make an appearance at the BET Awards Nominations Special on June 15.

'Here I Am' is set to feature a gang of top tier talent. The singer has tapped pop maestro Dr. Luke as well as producers and songwriters like Stargate, Salaam Remi, Ne-Yo, Rico Love, Jim Jonsin, RedOne, Tricky Stewart, Esther Dean, Rodney Jerkins and David Guetta to lend their talents to her latest effort.
