Wiz Khalifa's 'Roll Up' Single Hits Platinum Sales Mark

'Roll Up,' the second single from Wiz Khalifa's Rostrum Records/Atlantic Records debut 'Rolling Papers,' has earned the Pittsburgh rapper his second platinum plaque.

After reaching gold status in early May, Wiz's second single sold 1,000,000 units this month, giving him his second platinum record, following 2010's smash hit 'Black and Yellow.' Rostrum Records CEO Benjy Grinberg was the first to break the news on Twitter Wednesday (June 1). "As of today, ROLL UP has become another Platinum selling song for @realwizkhalifa. Congrats to the whole team!" he wrote.

Wiz released the album's debut single 'Black and Yellow' in September 2010, and it quickly became one of the best-selling songs of the year. It was adopted as the theme song for Wiz's hometown football team, the Pittsburgh Steelers and was even remixed by Lil Wayne as a 'Green and Yellow,' a tribute to the Green Bay Packers.

In other news, March brought word that Wiz Khalifa and Snoop Dogg would begin filming the stoner comedy 'High School.' There have been no recent updates on the movie, but in mid-May the duo were kicked off a video set at a California high school while filming the title track for the movie's music video. They were busted, of course, for smoking weed.

Wiz is scheduled to perform at the upcoming Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival, which will take place in Manchester, Tennessee from June 9 through 12.
