DJ Mister Cee Pleads Guilty in Prostitution Bust

DJ Mister Cee entered a guilty plea Wednesday (June 1), stemming from a late night bust with a male companion in New York City two months ago.

The revered Hot 97 DJ and radio personality, who's known for his 'Throwback at Noon' show, was charged with loitering for the purpose of engaging in a prostitution offense with a male companion, from whom he received oral sex. The young man has since been identified as Lawrence Campbell, and also goes by the name Pink Lady.

Despite the compromising position that he found himself in, Campbell, 19, maintains that he is not a prostitute. "I'm definitely not a prostitute," he revealed in a video post. "I'm not in any way, shape or form. I don't do things like that. I don't have sex for money. I don't need to have sex for money. I make enough money on my own."

Cee, born Calvin Lebrun, was taken into custody on March 30, but has since gone back to his day job at New York City's Hot 97 radio station. Although some of his colleagues were quick to come to his defense, the 44-year-old has yet to make an official statement on the matter. He has been ordered to complete 12 sessions of counseling with a doctor, over three months.

This latest plea marks the second time that Cee has accepted guilt for a lewd act, according to police he was picked up last October for the same offense.

Mr. Cee made his mark in hip-hop during the late '80s, appearing on Big Daddy Kane's classic debut, 'Long Live the Kane.' He famously launched Notorious B.I.G.'s career early on and served as Associate Executive Producer on the fallen rapper's 1994 debut 'Ready to Die.'
