N.O.R.E. Calls It Quits With C-N-N Partner, Capone

After 15 years together, Noreaga has announced that he is ending his professional relationship with Capone to focus on his solo career.

Taking to Twitter, the Queens MC confirmed that C-N-N is no more. "I'm not making another war report album or another N.O.R.E ALBUM IMMA MAKE THE 1st S.U.P.E.R.T.H.U.G album cause that what's good for now," he tweeted Wednesday (June 8) morning. "CNN was a great group. Time has changed I must move on. Doesn't it hurt to watch a boxer still box when he's heart isn't in it that's what the group feels like right now."

Despite their break-up, N.O.R.E. maintains their friendship is still very much intact. "We still homeys brothers family just we both need to do something different musically!!!" he wrote.

The duo met in 1992, while on kitchen duty at Collins Correctional Facility in New York, and began performing in local venues upon their release from prison. In 1996, they dropped their debut album, 'The War Report,' in spite of Capone's imprisonment for parole violation.

Over the years Capone, born Kiam Akasi Holley, has continued to have legal issues sending him to and from prison. Last year, C-N-N released 'The War Report 2: Report the War,' a follow-up to their debut, but unlike its predecessor, failed to make a dent in the music charts debuting at a dismal No. 98 on the Billboard album charts.

While N.O.R.E. is focusing on his own career, Capone is following suit and, according to his Twitter bio, is also working on a solo release.

The reason you have so many Pale ( not white > the proper term used for the less endowed mankind) racist is because they don't have the proper understanding of being a true human being, so they go on and on with non-sense, about someone else being inferior, when they can't look internally into their own souls and see the
God in them? Every day they wake up with haterid in their hearts, because they are trying to be the man that God made others to be with true humanitarian feelings, and they wonder why all of the females of the speices don't want to really have anything to do with them unless they have money? Oh well, I guess they can go on kissing each other as men and telling themselves what great human beings they are while the homosexual population skyrockets amongst them!

If you don't know who Capone and Noreaga are your either 15 years old, don't listen to music, have no idea about hip hop, or live under a rock. one of the most influental 90's duos with The War report. platinum sales, international recognition, multiple videos, multi magazine covers, Platinum solo album from NORE and before you speak kind of makes you seem stupid. many guest appearances. Maybe you should listen to hip hop.. Oh and these guys are emcees and are hip hop not rap which is very very different. You might just need to learn

If your into hip hop you would have heard of them. If your not into hip hop then you would have missed thier platinum albums, videos, magzine covers, international awards and their history. Both have been to prison already and Capone has been a few times but that's not why the split. It's stale artistic vibe meaning they just aren't on the same page and need a break to expand musically.
