The three music superstars will rub shoulders with the likes of Queen Latifah, Trey Songz, Drake, and Patti LaBelle, who will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award commemorating her more than 30-year career in entertainment. Performers on the show include Jill Scott, Alicia Keys, Kelly Rowland, Chris Brown and Beyonce Knowles, who will perform via satellite from the Glastonbury Festival in England.
The night's nominees will be led by Chris Brown, who is up for six trophies, including Best Male R&B Artist. Coming in second place is Lil Wayne, who received five nods, three of which come from featured appearances on songs with Brown. While details surrounding their performances have yet to be revealed, last year Brown stole the show with an emotional dance tribute to the late Michael Jackson, at which point the 21-year-old broke down in tears as the crowd cheered him on.
Kanye West, Drake, Rihanna are also all up for awards, as well as Minaj, who will receive an honor in the Viewer's Choice Category for her 'Moment For Life' video. The 11th annual BET Awards will be hosted by comedian Kevin Hart and will air live from Los Angeles on Sunday Sept. 26 at 8PM EST.
