Alicia Keys, Rick Ross, Bruno Mars Perform at BET Awards

Alicia Keys took on the role of maestro at the 2011 BET Awards, standing on top of a piano during her performance, leading an orchestra to play the backing sounds to a new song she debuted.

'Typewriter' is the jam's title and the lyrics were ever-present during her set. Keys sang through her new song with a lyric video playing behind her. "No sunshine when you're gone, peaceful sleep I have none/ How can I make it better, I'm under so much pressure," the 'Songs in A Minor' creator belted out.

Showing off a braided side ponytail, the chanteuse hopped off the piano and sat in front of the keys, moving into her famed tune, 'A Woman's Worth.' Surprisingly, Bruno Mars entered stage right, carrying a mint green guitar, and helped her croon through the song as a duet.

As another trick up her sleeve, Keys starting singing the chorus to Rick Ross' hit, 'Maybach Music.' The veteran performer tickled the ivories as Ricky Rozay jumped out on stage to take over with his grunty rap style.

She capped off her set with her classic hit, 'Fallin',' off her seminal album, 'Songs in A Minor.'
