The 'Marvin's Room' video, directed by Hyghly of XO, was shot in his hometown of Toronto. Dimly lit with a sepia-colored hue, the clip starts with Drake making a call to a lingerie-wearing video vixen before he is seen at a bar drinking his sorrows away. In another scene, the YMCMB rapper is looking at himself in the mirror as if he is finally facing his emo-rap, lovelorn demons.
Though Drake has stated that the song is not a proper single, the Noah "40" Shebib-produced 'Marvin's Room' will be featured on Drizzy's upcoming sophomore album, 'Take Care,' due Oct. 24. Besides this track, Drake has released a number of songs via his blog including 'Dreams Money Can Buy' and 'Trust Issues,' which recycles some of the same verse he featured on DJ Khaled's 'I'm on One.'
But on June 23, Drake took his Universal Records label recording home to task for ordering the removal of music he himself freely distributed to his fans. "Universal needs to stop taking my f---ing songs down," the 'Best I Ever Had' rapper tweeted.
