Performer on Tech N9ne's Tour Shot in Buttocks

An opening performer on acclaimed indie hip-hop artist Tech N9ne's All 6's and 7's tour was shot early Monday morning (June 27). The incident occurred hours after a performance in downtown Reno, Nevada's Knitting Factory, in an alley outside of the venue.

According to KOLO TV, the performer was shot in the buttocks after at least 16 rounds were fired in the Douglas Alley between the Knitting Factory and the Old Fitzgerald Casino, where the tour buses were parked. Bullets hit two people and police have apprehended who they believe to be the shooter.

Although initial reports stated that the wounded performer was part of Tech's Strange Music camp -- and that the incident occurred shortly after Tech N9ne's performance -- the label issued a statement refuting some of these notions.

HipHopDX was provided with the statement, which is as follows:

"Earlier this morning in the city of Reno, Nevada an unfortunate incident took place involving a performer with an opening act on Tech N9ne's current U.S. Tour. Nearly two hours after the show had ended, it appears that this performer was the victim of a random and senseless act of violence on a nearby city street adjacent to the club where he had performed hours earlier. By all reports, the victim was talking on his phone when he was approached by six individuals who had not been in attendance at that evening's show. Shortly after, shots were fired and the victim was struck multiple times. He was rushed to a local hospital where he remains in serious condition but is expected to recover. Not long after the incident took place, four suspects who had fled the scene on foot were detained and taken into custody by local law enforcement, including what appears to be the main suspect and shooter in the incident. No other info has been made available at the time of releasing this statement."

Tech N9ne's latest album, 'All 6's and 7's,' was released on June 7 and debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 chart and No. 1 on the Billboard Rap Albums chart.

This is a great example of why Osama hated the USA and wanted no part of our Western Democratic lifestyle. A Tech Nine is a garbage 9mm Semi- automatic hand gun that has magazines that have 30 plus bullets. In an urban setting it is a great drive by shooting gun. Our society allows these thugs to glamourize this lawless no respect for human life behaviour. In the 50's when there were Morals in the entertainment industry, No record label or manufactuer, much less a venue would allow some one to name themselves after this gun and violent image. Now if there is a buck to be made they will allow anything. There is no thought of the minds that are allowed to be poisoned by the image and violence that these individuals glamourize. The saddest thing is the victim of this violence will proffit from this tragedy & poison minds even more. This shooting now has given him additional street cred. No wonder the people in the Middle East are fighting to the death to keep our Western values out of there land. If you look at it from a distance who could blame them. They just want to protect there children and society from being poisoned by things like this. It is a shame this usta be a Country of Charechter. Now we allow anyone to destroy it under the guise of freedom of speech and civil liberties

Why is this even news worthy? What is so sad is that our brave American soldiers are being wounded and killed every day protecting our great nation from the terror groups of the radical islamic muslum crack pot cults that want to destroy America and every nation. And yet when some little dirt bag ,crouched over, hand slinging, saggy pants, sideways idiot cap, hate filled racist black boy is harmed while hanging around some back alley it is reported as somehow important by our liberal extremisist media. Wake up America. This is not news and its not important. Americas as a whole would like to see this whole rap crap hip hopping noise go away. And soon. How stupid can the both of you be? The site is called "The Boombox" Tech N9ne has been an entertainer for over fifteen years in hip hop and MUSIC. Get it? The Boombox? Music?
