Before expressing his sentiments for the Bay area rapper, the Toronto MC revealed that he was working on a big project, one that the masses will undoubtedly hear soon. "I was on the way to the studio to meet 40 [producer Noah Shabib] 'cause I'm mixing the single tonight, we just decided to put on your [Green Lantern's] show and... that's my dog right there that you got in the studio by the way, that's my dog," Drake said in reference to Kreayshawn.
Drake, whose sophomore album, 'Take Care,' is set for an October 4 release, took time out from focusing on his own work to give support to the 'Gucci Gucci' rhymer.
"I'm excited about Kreayshawn," the Young Money signee admitted. "Really, honestly, I get excited when new things happen in hip-hop and, like, when I heard 'Gucci Gucci, I heard the flows, I was excited before I even knew who she was. And you know, I got to hear a little bit more of the music beyond that and then, like to meet her, and then the energy she has... she's a great person."
According to Kreayshawn, the two met while "mobbin' around" in Los Angeles. To find out more about the newly signed Columbia Records artist, check out her BoomBox video interview below and more here.
