Wiz Khalifa Earns Gold Plaque for 'Rolling Papers'

Atlantic

Wiz Khalifa was in a festive mood at Atlantic Records' offices, celebrating a definitive marker in his career. The Pittsburgh rhymer, along with his Taylor Gang representatives and longtime manager Benjy Grinberg, relished in the excitement of learning that his debut album, 'Rolling Papers,' totaled 500,000 copies sold.

The 'Black and Yellow' hitmaker was presented with a gold plaque by Atlantic Records executives, who toasted to the heavily tattooed rapper's accomplishment. Besides his major label effort earning accolades, both his singles 'Black and Yellow' and 'Roll Up' were certified platinum.

"Thnx To Everyone At Atlantic And Especially Rostrum Records," Wiz tweeted about his monumental moment. "These Platinum Plaques Got me Thankful For Every Positive Person In My Life."
