Soulja Boy Buys $55 Million Jet as Birthday Present to Himself

Soulja Boy celebrated his 21st birthday Thursday (July 28) and he wasn't set on throwing back shots with his boys but rather shelling out way more than an average person's salary on a private jet.

According to TMZ, the 'Mean Mug' performer dropped $55 million on a G5 jet. The news came care of his management, who also revealed that the pricey ride originally cost $35 million but totaled the whopping amount when the southern rhymer chose to incorporate added extravagances.

The Georgia native dropped dime on 12 custom Italian leather seats, flat screen TVs, four liquor bars, a special travertine tiled floor and Brazilian hardwood cabinets. Besides those additions, the rapper is reportedly renovating the existing bathroom and painting the entire jet with his logo.

Though he hasn't dropped a new album and his last LP, 'The DeAndre Way' flopped at 13,360 copies sold in its first week, the effort's lead single, 'Pretty Boy Swag,' has totaled well over 1,000,000 units, which may be a reason he can afford such luxuries as a multi-million dollar jet.

Last week, Soulja Boy released his 'Bernaul Arnault' mixtape, featuring songs 'Came Out the Water' and 'Fire Blunts.'

It is sad when i see or hear a young black man make it to the top by using his god giving talent and the first thing he did is to spend 55 milions dollars to buy a jet. i think this 21 years old talented young man needs some good guidance . he should invest his money wisely to gain more return because he never know what tomorrow will bring. This is one of the biggest problem we have here in this country people are not thinking about tomorrow they want every thing now and at any cost and that is why we have this economy crisis . lack of money management , lack of character ethic , every thing is front , front , people believe they gain more respect by having the biggest car , plane , boat , house . It is more about competition than any thing else.

So Chris it's gone from rims to jets. Why can't many of these young black entertainers get the message that rich is fleeting and wealth goes on forever? I guess the ones with the millions just aren't listening to you Chris. Will S. got the message but he had to go broke once to get it. Lets hope this guy is as fortunate because being poor is crap and he's on his way back to the crapper.

Can any one step up to the plate and honestly help this guy. “A fool and his money shall soon part”... Really soulja boy really, Superficiality truly runs deep here... You mean to tell me that you couldn’t do anything really worthwhile that wasn’t about you. Oh I forgot who this is A lost Generation of sexually confused young black men who basically exist without any direction, nothing taught nor instilled in them at a younger age, (spiritually, financial worth, wealth, self-worth, identity, his history, since of purpose, character) a generation who believes their own rhetoric (BS) and that it’s all about them and as they get older they come to realize.. Yea do you but do that once you have learned who you are! Not a sexually confuse young man, believing the prison hype and selling your soul to that dark side

congrad to soulja, keep doing you. I wish he can find someone to pick up my books A Rapper's Love Story or a black western called A Family of Outlaws, which I was know will become a blockbuster movie when someone picks them up. Both books were writen for 50 cent and Em, but I guess they didn't like them.
