Jay-Z, Kanye West Reportedly in Bitter Feud Over Tour

Apparently the Throne may not be big enough for superstar rappers Jay-Z and Kanye West's egos, as the New York Post reports that the two are at odds over their upcoming tour, and are not currently on speaking terms.

Although they're only a week away from the August 8 release of their monumental 'Watch the Throne,' album, the Post claims that the two, who have dubbed themselves as the supergroup the Throne, are locked in a bitter dispute over Kanye's over-the-top concert demands, which could cost over $400,000 per show.

"Jay-Z can't deal with Kanye," the Post's "insider" claims. "Jay is a stone-cold businessman. He wants to recoup all of his money from Live Nation. But Kanye wants to upstage rock stars with a blowout show. He doesn't care about costs. He has a lot less to gain from the shows."

Kanye and Jay's animosity first became apparent during last week's Young Jeezy concert in New York, where the MCs made separate appearances on stage with the Atlanta rapper.

"We were expecting them to come out together to perform a track from the album," a disappointed concertgoer told the Post. "They didn't even go out together after the show."

"Jay-Z is fed up with West's antics," concluded the Post's insider. "He doesn't even want to be around him."

Representatives for the rappers have declined to comment about the alleged feud.

'Watch the Throne' is in stores on August 8. The new tour schedule will be announced later today on their website. Despite much fanfare over the release, independent record store owners are disappointed in the sales strategy for the effort and have written an open letter to the veteran rap stars sharing their sentiments.
