Lil Wayne Gets a Tattoo, Tags Walls in MTV VMA Promo

Lil Wayne rocks out in a promo video for the upcoming 2011 MTV Video Music Awards, set to air on August 28. The Young Money head honcho, dressed in black-and-white checkered board shorts, a red hat, neon sunglasses and a grey T-shirt, gets into full party mode during the clip.

The visuals commence with the rapper behind bars, looking eagerly to escape his confines. A clock ticks as Weezy F. Baby grabs a can of spray paint and posts up near a wall to tag some graffiti, which include the words "thug life" and a disturbed smiley face.

Sounds of Tupac's 'California Love' and Wayne's own '6 Foot 7 Foot' track play in the background as the 28-year-old Louisiana native crowd surfs. He then takes some flicks with fans and smashes a guitar to the lyrics of Nirvana's 'Smells Like Teen Spirit,' before spinning some records on a set of turntables and sitting in a chair to get yet another tattoo on his heavily inked body.
