While 'H.A.M.' kicked off hip-hop enthusiasts' interest in the project, 'Otis' serves as the lead track from The Throne's -- the new group name West and Hov refer to themselves as -- album. The pair have released a teaser clip for the visuals, which features billows of smoke, studio sessions and pyrotechnics.
Shot in both black-and-white and color, the Spike Jonze-directed video finds Jay and 'Ye clowning around on a rooftop, the latter playfully pushing the Brooklyn rhymer out of the camera's view so he can take hold and scream into the lens. The only splashes of color shown throughout the clip come near the end, as the two, dressed in white tops and dark bottoms, appear in front of a red, white and blue American flag.
'Otis' is built upon Otis Redding's famed track 'Try a Little Tenderness.' 'Watch the Throne' was released exclusively to iTunes on Aug. 8 and will be available at Best Buy Aug. 12.
