Dressed in a sharp-edged outfit, inspired by Japan's Harajuku fashion, the New York native said that this time around she's going to give her alter ego, Roman Zolanski, more time to shine. "The new album is going to have a lot of Roman on it," Minaj tells The BoomBox.
The head Barb-in-charge went on to discuss what loyal supporters can expect on forthcoming tracks. "If you're not familiar with Roman, then you will be familiar with him real soon," she reveals. "He's a boy that lives inside of me, and he's gay. He'll be on there a lot. I have a lot of surprises that I don't want to give away, but I just know that everyone will be more than satisfied with new album."
In what turned out to be a big night for the Young Money frontwoman, Minaj also premiered the video for her Rihanna-assisted single 'Fly' during the awards pre-show. "The song is a really inspiring song and when I did it with Rihanna, I thought, this really screams "power," she explains. "So I wanted to paint a picture of the end of the world, or the end of something."
