According to the National Post, the former Fugees member's set was compared to an "artist writing their own obituary on stage." From flailing arms to a faulty sound crew, Hill's center stage show as part of the Rock the Bells tour, alongside Nas, was a disappointment.
The new mother, who just gave birth to her sixth child in July, was met with audience jeers of "You f---ing suck!" when she didn't meet expectations and reportedly showed up an hour-and-a-half late to the show -- a habit that dates back to a January performance in Atlanta, where she arrived three hours late.
'The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill' creator will grab the mic again as part of the Rock the Bells concert series on Sept. 24, when she arrives in Boston, along with Cypress Hill, Erykah Badu, Mos Def and Talib Kweli as Black Star and Common, among others.
