T.I. Is Free, Released From Halfway House in Atlanta

T.I. is a free man today (Sept. 29), after spending 10 months in an Arkansas federal prison.

The rapper, who was arrested in Los Angeles on drug charges and for violating probation for firearms offenses in 2010, was released last month to a halfway house to complete his federal custody sentence. However, the 'Bring 'Em Out' creator was forced to return to prison in Arkansas after he was suspected of conducting business during his 375-mile relocation trip to Atlanta with his wife and two industry executives.

On Sept. 15, the 30-year-old lyricist was released once again and sent to the Dismas Charities halfway house in Atlanta to complete his sentence. The New York Times reports that there was little "fanfare" as he exited in a chauffeur-driven car.

Tip, born Clifford Harris, will celebrate his freedom during a brunch in Atlanta. The first annual A King of Oneself brunch is presented by men's lifestyle fashion brand AKOO Clothing, owned by T.I., and Grand Hustle Entertainment, his label.

The entertainer is currently working with VH1 on a documentary series showcasing his release from prison and life thereafter.
