"Persistence, consistency, believing in myself and taking my destiny in my own hands," 2 Chainz tells The BoomBox of his formula for success.
His constant hustle has led to a number of standout hits within the last few quarters -- all mixtape cuts from both 'Codeine Cowboy' and 'Trapavelli 2 (The Residue).' His latest banger, 'Spend It,' recently received an unexpected push from a fellow ATLien. "T.I. reached out," 2 Chainz shares. "I think he was getting some info while he was locked down as far as who's hot in the streets. I was elated about it, had somebody send it to him, he knocked it out, and it was done in less than 24 hours."
According to 2 Chainz, he has a lot more tricks in his bag as he prepares to make an even bigger name for himself. "I have a lot of new collaborations coming out," the southern rhymer explains. "One with Jeezy and Birdman. Of course, the Tip joint. Also, look out for one with me, Ghostface and Rae. I have a lot of stuff I'm excited about. Me and Juicy J. [I'm] working."
2 Chainz' newest mixtape, 'T.R.U. REALigion,' will be released on LiveMixtapes.com Nov. 1.
