Frost, born Arturo Molina Jr., tweeted a photo of himself in the hospital and revealed that diabetes may have been the cause of the stroke. "I'm warning my homies with diabetes take care of yourself," he wrote. "I just suffered a mild stroke and landed in icu @ Methodist."
The East Los Angeles native got his start as a breakdancer before becoming a rapper. In the late 1980s, he signed with Virgin Records, releasing the hit single 'La Raza,' off his 1990 debut, 'Hispanics Causing Panic.' The song went on to peak at No. 42 on the Billboard singles charts.
Over the years, he has collaborated with the likes of Xzibit, Kurupt and Daz Dillinger. The rhymer also appeared in Snoop's 'Vato' music video. His last album, 'Bluntz N Ballerz,' was released in 2007.
