Eminem and Lil Wayne Grace Cover of GQ's Music Issue

One overcame drug addiction, sudden fame, the death of a close friend and a disastrous on-again, off-again relationship with the mother of his daughter. The other went to Rikers Island on weapons charges and emerged bigger and better than ever.

Eminem and Lil Wayne are survivors, and GQ has recognized them as such.

Both MCs appear on the cover of the magazine's November issue, standing alongside another of music's most resilient figures, Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards. All three are featured in a spread called 'The Survivors.'

Fellow honorees from the world of R&B and hip-hop include idiosyncratic neo-soul singer Erykah Badu and Wu-Tang rapper Raekwon. The two are just some of the 46 artists featured.

The magazine hits newsstands Oct. 25.
