Lupe Fiasco serves up his first offering from his latest mixtape project, 'Friend of the People,' with an assist from singing Brit Ellie Goulding.

The Chi-town MC reworks Ellie's 'Lights,' which was remixed by Bassnectar, a California DJ and producer. On the track, Fiasco rhymes his standard of political and social injustices.

"Dad made me a soldier, G.I. Joe to these Cobras/ Tryna F.B.I. my Panther, C.I.A. my Sankofa/ Infiltrate my Carter, illuminate my culture/ While they watching through that buckle, but I stay up on my hustle," he raps.

'Friend of the People' drops Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 24.
